EPROC is a collaborative European initiative commissioned to encourage and support the adoption of new digital procurement processes and tools by small and medium sized businesses (SMEs).
With the clear trend towards Local Authorities (LAs) adopting new eProcurement systems to improve efficiency and effectiveness, it was felt that some SMEs might be disadvantaged in applying for such business if they did not start to respond positively to this move towards electronic trading. In a nutshell, this is why the EPROC project – with partners from Germany, Holland, Ireland and Wales – came into being.
The aim of the eProc project is to encourage and support SMEs to adopt new eProcurement processes and tools. eProc will help SMEs understand the implications of what they are being asked to do and have greater knowledge of how to benefit from new eProcurement developments. In order to achieve this aim eProc has produced a number of intuitive guides, online resources and developed the online eProc Learning Zone. €
